Warranty Policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026
Our warranty policy and repair terms. These apply to every repair at Fixpal, together with our Terms & Conditions.
Limited lifetime part warranty
This warranty applies only to the specific device repaired (identified by its IMEI) and to the original purchaser. It is non-transferable and becomes void if the device is sold or transferred.
Fixpal warrants the installed part for as long as the original owner has the device. If the part malfunctions, bring the device to Fixpal, subject to the terms below. If the device qualifies for warranty, it must be inspected by a Fixpal technician. If the part is found to be defective, the cost of the part is covered.
Labour is covered for the first 30 days. After that, a flat labour fee applies: $79.99 plus taxes for phones, or $99.99 plus taxes for tablets and handheld gaming units. All warranty repairs must be done at our store in Winkler.
The warranty covers only the part that was serviced. It does not cover any other part, function or component of the device. If the issue is related to software, the motherboard or another part that Fixpal did not service, a minimum labour fee of $79.99 (phones) or $99.99 (tablets and handheld gaming units) applies for the assessment.
Please note: our standard service tests only the part we serviced. Fixpal does not test every function of the device and is not liable for other functions that were not tested.
Game consoles
Console repairs that qualify carry a 90-day warranty on the part that was serviced. As with all repairs, the warranty doesn’t cover any other part of the console, and the exclusions and eligibility rules below apply. We’ll confirm whether your repair qualifies when you pick up your console.
Wear-and-tear items
Battery replacements and charging ports carry a 30-day warranty, provided all other requirements of this warranty policy are met.
Using our repair service may void your manufacturer’s warranty. If you’re not sure whether your manufacturer’s warranty is still valid, please check with your device manufacturer before using our service.
Your data
All data and information stored on your device remain your responsibility. Fixpal accepts no liability for data loss, whatever the cause. We strongly recommend backing up your device before any repair.
Liquid damage
Fixpal is not responsible for any progression of damage in devices already affected by liquid. Opening the device may cause further damage and could make it unrepairable. No warranty is provided on liquid-damage repairs. Any successful repair of a liquid-damaged device is strictly for data recovery purposes and is performed at the customer’s own risk. No length of functionality is guaranteed, and we recommend backing up your device immediately.
Devices repaired by others
Fixpal is not responsible for any progression of damage in a device that was previously repaired by a third party. If we find problems when we open the device (for example missing internal components or torn flex cables), we will document them on your repair ticket.
Turnaround time
Repair and return times are not guaranteed and may be affected by outside factors. The stated turnaround time starts once your device has been checked in at our store.
Warranty exclusions
The following are not covered by the warranty:
- Aftermarket screens with slow, delayed or freezing touch.
- Batteries and charging ports beyond their 30-day defect warranty.
- Liquid damage, physical damage, or damage that happens afterwards (for example, a cracked screen).
- Problems with the motherboard, or unrelated repairs, except where they are part of a qualifying console repair.
- Software issues, cleaning, dent removal and bend removal.
- Data loss (please back up your data before any repair).
- Lost or stolen devices.
- LCD/OLED problems caused by impact, such as lines or black spots, even if the glass isn’t broken.
- Tampering with or removing the warranty sticker.
- Repairs or openings of the device by anyone other than Fixpal.
- Gaps or separation between the screen and frame caused by frame damage.
The warranty is void if the device shows signs of excessive corrosion, heat, moisture, misuse or other external causes, or if any software modifications are made, including restoring, updating or loading unauthorized software. Fixpal reserves the right to void any warranty if any of these conditions are found after the last repair.
Warranty vs. insurance
The warranty does not cover accidental damage. For example, if your device is dropped or damaged after the repair, it is not covered. Once the device is returned to you, it is your responsibility, whatever the situation.
Warranty eligibility
Not every repair is eligible for a warranty. Examples of repairs that aren’t eligible:
- Devices that can’t go through a basic intake test (for example, no power or a blacked-out screen).
- Devices with bends, dents or liquid damage.
- Devices with existing problems that may only become visible to Fixpal once the device is opened.
Phones we sell
New phones come with the manufacturer’s warranty. Other phones we sell, such as Certified OEM Pre-Owned phones, come with a Fixpal in-house warranty.
Warranty coverage and length can vary from device to device. Please check the warranty terms in store when you buy. A Fixpal team member will go over the warranty terms specific to your device before you complete your purchase.
Accessories
Accessories are not covered by Fixpal’s warranty policy. Some manufacturers offer their own warranties. All accessory purchases are final sale: no refunds, returns or exchanges.
Motherboard hardware issues
Motherboard hardware problems are not covered by our warranty, except for qualifying console repairs, which are covered for 90 days as described above.
Device pick-up
Payment must be received in full before the device is returned to the customer. If a device is not picked up within fourteen (14) days of completion, it becomes the property of Fixpal Inc., and Fixpal may, at its discretion, recycle, donate or sell it, or otherwise recover the cost of parts and labour.
Deposit for special-order parts
A non-refundable repair deposit may be required for parts that need to be special-ordered. Once the order is placed, the deposit is forfeited if you decide not to go ahead with the repair.
Limitation of liability
Repair or replacement of the product, as outlined above, is your exclusive remedy. Fixpal Inc. is not liable for special, incidental or consequential damages, including lost revenue or profits, rental of replacement equipment, downtime, property damage and third-party claims. In no event will Fixpal Inc.’s liability exceed the purchase price of the product.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Fixpal Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents and third parties from any losses, costs, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or our in-person services; any content you post; your violation of any of these terms or of any rights of a third party; or your violation of any applicable laws, rules or regulations. Fixpal Inc. reserves the right, at its own cost, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will fully cooperate with Fixpal Inc. in asserting any available defences.
Final sale
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are provided once a repair is completed.
